The motorcycle brake disc, also known as the brake rotor, provides the friction surface that works with the brake pads to slow or stop the motorcycle. Mounted on the wheel hub, it rotates with the wheel while the brake caliper presses the pads against the disc to generate braking force. Brake discs are commonly replaced when they become worn, warped, or damaged during long-term use on commuter motorcycles.
