The motorcycle crankshaft position sensor monitors the rotational speed and position of the crankshaft, sending this information to the engine control unit (ECU). By providing accurate timing signals, it allows the ignition and fuel injection systems to operate in synchronization with engine movement. This sensor is commonly replaced during engine diagnostics or electronic system repairs on fuel-injected commuter motorcycles.
